Okay everyone! I have just discovered something super awesome (like me)!

It is a Star Wars font!

The lower case part of the font is from the Aurebesh alphabet in Star Wars which is the commonly used basic language.

I am writing this entry as I sit here on the computer in a Skype conference with my two group members for a Report that is due in 13.5 hrs. It is 1 am right now and we’re still trying to put it together. A word of advice: don’t procrastinate on things this big or just do not go to school. Yay! I am tired and ornery and I have nothing interesting to say at all, my bad ya’ll! But I will give you some interesting words to think about:

Poppycock – anglicized form of the Dutch pappekak, which literally means soft dung or diarrhea [Wikipedia] – Why would that be used as an interjection? WTF.

Peperoncini – some spicy little peppers.

Google – the internet will soon be pwned by something with a silly name such as Google!

Blog – a portmanteau of the term “web log” [Wikipedia] – I suppose it sounds better than Wlog but I say that Elog can compete with it.

This is a lame list – a realization from a super awesome person [Razvan]

Red Dead

So I have recently purchased the game Red Dead Redemption and played it for a couple hours. It is a pretty fun game and I’m a fan of the western style of the game so it appeals to me even more. The controls and game-play are very similar to Grand Theft Auto IV so it was easy to get used to since I played GTA IV quite a bit. It is still a bit glitchy though, example: A man was riding his horse past me and all of a sudden fell into the ground with his horse and the horses head was just sticking out of the ground and the man was on the horse still buried (pretty much) up to his waist in the ground. Being the good person I am, I saved the man by punching him in the face so he fell off of his horse and I had to euthanize the poor animal. I will now be returning back to playing right now and it will be sweet.

This picture is one my friend sent me of a restaurant at near his place in Germany. He told me that the food is pretty cheap (Look at that burger!) and you can get this group drink that comes in a giant version of that mug that involves 2 bottles of Bacardi and 6 2L bottles of Coke and it is served in mugs that size I believe. Oh zee Germans!

Hello devoted fans of my blog! How are you all doing tonight? Oh, you’re all doing great because you noticed I updated my blog? Great! Tonight I have decided I do not really have anything to blog about. So I am going to try a different attempt than normal. By that I mean that I do not have any idea what to write about so I am going to start this post without any ideas and then I will go on the internet and randomly look something up and then write about it. I think Wikipedia has a random function. By the way, feel free to e-mail me or comment on any questions you would like answered by me, Razvan the all-knowing!

(10:25) Well I’ve spent 5 minutes clicking the random article button and I have proved something to myself. Wikipedia has just about anything you can think of! Swell! Still have not found anything remotely interesting or worth writing about. The good news is, I did think of something worth mentioning in the blog; last night I watched a documentary titled “2 million minutes” The premise is that it follows 6 high school students from around the world and shows how they spend their 2 million minutes in high school (something like 4 years worth of minutes). It followed 2 American students, 2 Chinese students and 2 Indian students and showed how their life is different. What did I learn? Academically the US students do jack compared to the other 4 students. The experts in the videos did defend the US students saying that they do work hard, just in different ways. Different ways being they have a part time job and participate in student governments. It is definitely a 54 minute documentary worth watching just to open your eyes about how different life in North America is compared to other countries can really be.

Well I am going to give the randomness another shoot. And randomness, go! (10:33)

(10:38) Convenient how this is once again 5 minutes later. Weird! So I feel as though I should update my dear readers about what I have been up to for the last 5 minutes because I know it must have been so hard waiting the suspenseful 2 milliseconds it takes to move from the line that ends “(10:33)” to the line that begins “(10:38).” I decided that wiki-random will get me nothing interesting at all so I dug up my old account for StumbleUpon and Stumbled Upon a couple websites. I found an interesting one within 2 or 3 stumbles and that one is www.breathingearth.net which is an interactive map that gives you the population, births/second, deaths/second and CO2 emitted/second of all the countries in the world. It also gives you a neat timer of how many people have been born, died and how much CO2 has been emitted since you started watching. Right now (@ 10:45) 2500 ppl have been born, 1000 have died and 522000 tonnes of CO2 has been emitted. Really neat check it out!

Pardon My Absence

Well it is now official; I suck at blogging. I hope I have not disappointed too many of my wonderful readers with my lack of blog posts. I will attempt to remedy this situation in the coming days. I know you are all very excited to hear that because you love my posts because they are soooo awesome. Well here is today’s!

In the last couple of days I have spent quite a bit of time swimming in the outdoor pool of my building (be jealous) and playing super awesome computer games with my friends. These games include Diablo II and WoW on a private server. Fun!

But bad things have happened too! (Don’t worry I’m okay, no need to cry) My computer has magically decided to be a douche and Windows Media Player (WMP) has stopped working. *Gasp!* What does this mean? – You ask. Well I will tell you! It means that WMP has stopped working. Shocking I know! I can no longer play movies/videos using it nor can I play music. This is not that big of a deal (it is just WMP) but I just did not like the fact that it stopped working so, being the super awesome 1337 haxxor that I am I tried to fix it for an hour or so and got nowhere… Oh no Razvan! What did you do? – You ask again with a tone of concern.

I decided to permanently switch to a couple media applications on my computer. Let me take you on an adventure!

First up is WinAmp which is a Music Player, it has been around for a long time but I never took the time to use it until now. I find it to be a good change of pace from the restrictive iTunes and well WMP I never really liked to use as my music organizer. It has a standard interface with navigation on the left where you can see your media libraries but it has some interesting features. Now keep I mind I only installed this about 2 days ago and have not had that much time to fiddle with it TOO much yet.

My favourite feature so far is Enqueue which lets you create a quick playlist of just about any song and you can see it up in the top right this is great if you want to listen to a couple songs in a specific order without making a completely new playlist (which you can still do if you want). Another great feature with WinAmp is that it is fully customizable which means you can change the skins to whatever suites your preference and add other add-ins and download other visualizations. A cool function when using visualization is that you can set it to be your desktop background so you can use your computer as normal and visualization will be going on in the background; you can also setup your playlist to appear on top of the visualization so you can see all the songs that are coming up. It is a rad music player, but don’t just take my word on it, check it out for yourself!

Secondly is VideoLan Player which is a great alternative video player. It plays just about any video you throw at it and it is a nice and lightweight application for your computer. It has all the functions of a basic Video Player and some more which make it a good choice for just about anyone. You can also create video playlists so if you have episodes of a TV show you are watching or movies that are 2 parts you can open them all together and watch it without interruption. Pretty cool.

Lastly is Ninite
which is a website I found whilst searching for new applications for my computer. It is a awesome tool for anyone that has reinstalled their computer or just wants to shake up a bring computer with some new neat applications. The website is one big checklist of applications divided into categories such as Media or Documents and you go through and select all the applications you wish to install and then proceed to Get Installer. This installer downloads and installs all the apps you chose for your computer quick and painlessly. Great isn’t it?

Well it has been 6 days since my last post and that is because… Aliens abducted me. Yup that is what happened don’t question it and be happy I am writing this one at least.

Well it is Tuesday today and I spent most of yesterday looking for work (fun!) and got a call back saying they’re going with someone with more EXP (Bartending exp). Great… Well there is still another place that needs to call me back and I’ve just applied for another different job in sales.

Anyone feel like hooking me up with a sweet job if I still don’t get any of these ones? Plz K Tnx.

As you can see because of the Squirrel’s ability to wield the deadly Lightsaber with the power of the force we will not longer be safe on picnics in the park or taking the dog out off leash. Imagine watching your dog battling a Jedi Squirrel… It would be messy and painful for you!

Kitty Death and Shitty School

So today was one of those days… Those days that start off terrible but eventually end up pretty good! So, how did my day start do you ask? Well I slept in an extra hour or so as per usual, it is actually a skill I found; I can wake up just enough to either mute my alarm or set it back further by 30 mins or so. During this time I have also found I am able to text intermittently which is cool but downside: I sometimes have imaginary conversations with people and it gets quite frustrating when I realize they haven’t happend… Especially if they were super awesome!

Back to reality for a summary of the rest of my shitty morning which involved waking up all groggy like and being forced to work in a frenzy to try and get a group assignment done. It was quite stressful but I think without Skype or DropBox (Get it now!) it would have been a lot worse and stressful! Overall it worked out to less than I find satisfactory but unfortunately that is just how things work out. Oh well. Went to class, was bored, ignored the professor, made her like me again, got a reward for being awesome (cliff bar) and learned nothing! Productive.

After class I met up with my friend Tyler and went back to my place to be nerdy and play Dungeons & Dragons Online which is what I am doing right now but I’m taking a break and writing this.

Flight is booked

As none of you may know, I am going to be traveling to Germany – specifically Mannheim – to study at The University of Mannheim for a year and today the flight has been booked! How exciting no? I can’t help but feel like I am not doing enough to prepare for the trip (nothing is not a lot) but I know everything will work out so no big deal.

I’m on a bus!

I know I probably have few readers but if anyone is out there and would like to send suggestions about awesome things I could do in Germany please do so it would be a lot of help in determining what to do besides school while I am there.

It seems that everyone today is blogging so might as well try it out and see why they are spending all this time sitting in front of a computer, writing about their life to people that they’ve most likely never met. Along with blogging a new craze seems to be vlogging on YouTube; maybe I’ll do that eventually if this works out.

So… It seems in order to have a successful blog I’ll have to write some sort of useful content and whatnot… So! I’ll get right on that!
